We have been fortunate to have a number of individuals and organizations assist us in our research.  The following is a listing of just a few of them.

 Genealogy Contributors

Donald Crosser (KY) – Found the missing piece of the puzzle.  Discovered the 1798 Will of Johann Adam Grasser which listed his children.  This critical information provided the missing link to connect the Grasser name to the Crosser name.  Don also provided extensive research on Jacob Grasser (one of Johann’s sons) and their descendants.  We are extremely appreciative of Don’s significant contributions.

Lane Crosser (KS) – Thank you for getting us started and all your great support along the way.

Ancestry.com While this is a paid service, it is an extremely affordable resource that has been invaluable in our research.  It is an efficient and effective way to do genealogical research.

York County Heritage Trust – We recommend that you become a member and visit the York County Heritage Trust.  This is the most organized historical society I have ever visisted and the staff members are wonderful.  It is very difficult to find pre 1850 information, and the YCHT has a significant amount of information on early York and Adams County Pennsylvania history.  For example, this is were Don found Johann’s 1798 Will.  Located at 250 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.  Phone 717-848-1587.  Or visit them at www.yorkheritage.org.

Find A Grave.com. – a wonderful free resource that has been invaluable in our research.  This is the best resource to find where relatives are buried.  All of the cemetery information we have is out on Find A Grave.

Iowa GenWeb Project – Their web site is free and has valuable information when doing research in Iowa.  Click here for the link to their web site.

Iowa Genealogical Society – A great resource for Iowa family history.  Located at  628 E Grand Ave  Des Moines, IA 50309.  Phone 515-276-0287.  Or visit them at iowagenealogy.org

Columbiana County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society – The CCCOGC provided valuable research on our relatives that were located in Columbiana County, Ohio.  They are located at P.O. Box 861 Dept I, Salem, Ohio 44460.  Click here for the link to their web site.
